Sustaining Alternative Film Cultures.

‘Sustaining Alternative Film Cultures’ was a two-year research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) in the UK.

The funding enabled three events to take place in the UK and the US over two years, from 2015 to 2017, at which RFN members and affiliated organisations came together to explore and discuss the nature of contemporary radical film culture, the challenges it faces and how it could be supported to grow and develop in the future.

Travel and accommodation bursaries will be available and announced in the months prior to each event.

Please sign up to the RFN Mailing List and follow its Facebook and Twitter pages to keep up-to-date with the project’s development.

The three events in the project will take place as follows:

  1. Liverpool Radical Film Festival.
  2. Sheffield Doc/Fest, June 2016.
  3. Workers’ Unite Film Festival (NYC), May 2017.

Information about each event will be added to this site as the project develops, so watch this space.
