Roda Film is an independent cinema project that promotes the production of auteur audiovisual works, documentaries, feature films, shorts, and experimental and research films. Roda Film experiments with transformations of contemporary cinematographic language by questioning the relationship between reality and image, and through the use of digital and analogue media (super 8, 16mm), photography and creative use of editing.
Roda Film was born in Sardinia but looks towards the world by promoting our artworks at international festivals, film exhibitions, cinemas and cultural centers, online platforms, and through a network of distributors and partners that support independent film productions.
Every August, we organize an open-air festival of documentary cinema and photography called Asincronie, which hosts artists and directors from all over the world in a mining village in the north of Sardinia island.
