The RFN International Workers’ Day Screenings is the inaugural initiative of the Radical Film Network’s newly formed Exhibition Working Group (EWG). Launched in 2024, the group was created to support alternative screening practices and foster international collaboration among radical filmmakers, curators, and collectives.

For this first edition, an open call drew over 30 submissions from around the world. A team of RFN EWG members reviewed and selected 18 films that reflect a wide range of styles, subject matters, and national origins and engage with urgent themes including labor injustice, migration, precarity, and resistance. Local hosts in New York, London, Belfast, and Zagreb are curating their own screenings from this pool of accepted works, tailoring programs to local audiences and contexts.

This decentralized model attests to RFN’s commitment to grassroots curation, internationalism, and politically engaged cinema. Details for each screening will be added here as programs are finalized.
