From 2004 until 2014, SchMOVIES was the video-activist unit of the Brighton-based radical newsletter, SchNEWS.
SchMOVIES produced two feature documentaries – SchNEWS at the Ten: The Movie (2004) and On the Verge (2008) – and six DVD compilations of ‘information for action’: SchMOVIES DVD Collection (2005), V is for Video-activist (2006), Take Three (2007), Uncertified (2008) and Raiders of the Lost Archive, Vol. 1 and 2 (2008-2011).
SchMOVIES also ran regular screenings at The Cowley Club, a members’ run co-operative based in Brighton.
