Trailer to the documentary film “NORTHERN FORESTS” – a cinematic journey into the ancient forests north of Istanbul, portraying the resistance to the major infrastructure measures in the villages on the Black Sea. The film follows the many setbacks and small victories of the Turkish activist group NORTHERN FOREST DEFENSE, which for several years has been trying to organize the civil resistance against the destruction of the common livelihoods of the urban and rural population. Shot over a period of four years the film is a serene manifesto for the solidarity of the people and against the destruction of our common basis of life. The film was premiered at BIFED Boscaada Ecological Film Festival in 2020.
