Passing Through

Clive Myer & Lynda Myer-Bennett

About the film

A metaphysical journey with her/him/they. Jeremy Deller talks of his work as “places where things have happened, sites of conflict and controversy”. In Passing Through the idea of travel and tourism take on a deeper meaning when English voices penetrate each other’s personal space, colliding with deteriorating social spaces and sounds in the US Gulf Coast and New Orleans.

Experimental filmmaker Mike Dunford said of Passing Through “a powerful, disturbing and ominous film with a claustrophobic intensity that completely changes the play of beautiful imagery – a classic example of the elements adding up to more than their sum”.
